Letters of consent/access/permission.

I found this on the criteria on what is needed for this blog, and decided to do something about it.

The big news is the fact that I needed none of these, this is due to the fact that I was taking pictures at a none-crowded Village at the Windsor Great Park and didn't have to ask the "authority" to clear the people away while I photographed the buildings (hence why I did the village instead of Windsor).

And as for the private places of The Village, well the places where it is visible to see the private places there are no "do not photograph" signs around, so I photographed the places with that fact and without needing to go further beyond the PRIVATE signs (I only really needed photos buildings anyway).

In other words, everthing almost seems free, but I almost needed a Letters of consent/access/permission., when it came to the shop interior, now originally I wanted to use a photo background for the bank interior, and planned to use the shop interior for it, but unfortunately due to "orders of The Crown" permission was absolutely not allowed at all, even with a Letters of consent/access/permission.

So I tried the inerior of the fairly recent Coop shop at Arthur Road, Windsor, but despite my polite words I have been asked by the shop staff to "telephone the manager in order to do it", so I went off.

I then realised (thanks to my father) that it is not allowed to take photos of Shop interiors due to fears of plagerism or robbery, so I gave that operation up, and decided not to use the exterior of the real Windsor Barkleys bank due to what was said and understood.

So did I decisde to make Letters of consent/access/permission for what I wanted?

Stuff and nonsense, I decided to make my own powerpoint exterior and interior of the bank via powerpoint (as observed in the slideshare presentation below) with make-up signs to stick onto a building for the exterior and autoshapes and a 3D effect for the interior, so that there can be no trouble at all with Letters of consent/access/permission, because I dislike delays or these long political processess.

May the Hype stand down.

Film Review part 1/3:Conducting the ideas

In this post I will present the first part of constructing my review which is just the text of what I think of the film, no pictures might be included but it will be observed as time goes on.
So here is my textuual analysis on The NeverEnding Story.

The NeverEnding story

In the world of film making, there can be adaptations of a book every now and then, some can work out and some cannot, but in this case I am looking at a good role-model for book adaptations, this is The Neverending Story (based on Die Unendiche Geschiche by Michael Ende)

Director: Wolfgang Petersen .
Stars: Noah Hathaway :Atreyu .
Barret Oliver :Bastian Bux .
Tami Stromach :The Childlike empress /T he Southern oracle.
Alan Oppenheimer :Narrator / Gmork / The Rockbiter / Falkor .

Plot: Bastian (Barret Oliver), a troubled boy hides in school to read a special book from the library, in the story is the magical land of Fantasia with strange landscapes and strange creatures wonderful to imagine, but there is a “nothingness” that is destroying all of fantasia, it is up to Atreyu (a individual of fantasia played by Noah Hathaway) and Bastian to stop the crisis and save fantasia.

The first thing I can say was good was the use of the German landscapes and locations due to being mountainous and giving the land of Fantasia a mystical and mysterious appearance, the film sets are also equally great, giving the setting and characters more power for the audience to see and admire.
The “real world” appears to be Manhattan, North America, it may not be as enhancing as Fantasia and is too clean to be a city street adding to a bit of unreal ism in the city, but it serves as reality so it is no big hassle for me.

For a fantasy movie (and a movie based off a book), the performances are quite what I expect them to be with fantasy characters with each individual voice to represent as to what they are and for reality you can hear the people as they are people, meaning that the difference between reality and fantasia is great, and the acting overall makes me satisfied that there was a lot of thought when making the characters and finding the right voices to then, which persuades me that this is a film with a lot of heart to see.

Within the key scenes of the film, animatronics are used to represent the creatures of fantasia which is done in a way more realistic and lifelike than Jim Henson’s the Muppets which is quite good, and to convey from the real world to the world of fantasia, simple camera cuts are used to keep the audiences surprised and interested to carry on watching the movie so I can say that all is well with the movie.
The general theme of the movie is fantasy, as to how everything can be so beautiful and wonderful and yet destroyed by the “nothingness” (which represents lies, terror and naughtiness) and how we must keep to the fantasy in order to survive, also the movie is central to Bastian growing up as he was first hunted down by a group of bullies and then becomes more and more confident in the face of danger as he progresses on reading the book.
The soundtrack is quite good which is a mix of the instruments pop music uses as well as the classical instruments which matches the real world and fantasia quite perfectly, and makes the audience and myself feel persuaded that fantasia is rally a fantasy world, and to even lighten things up there is a theme song to the movie at the opening and ending credits of the movie which makes me think as to what the movie is or isn’t.

As a representation of the original book, well there had to be a lot of changes to accommodate the movie time and being sure that the audiences have to be kept excited (like only adapting one half of the book), and some things had to be modified in order to accommodate the technology at the time, meaning that some characters have to be omitted, and the same reasons for the differences goes to the budget of the movie (despite being the most expensive movie not produced by the USA or USSR at the time), but as a movie itself it works out pretty good as the characters are as represented as from the book, and even the most major of changes to a character design or characterisation does not annoy me as I keep on getting charmed by them as well as keeping a good memory of them, and the plot is satisfying as it still maintains it’s message and gives us something good to remember and keep the fantasy alive.

Final thoughts: as a adaptation of a book there are a lot of changes (even the movie is based on only one half) which could detest some fans of the original book, but however as a movie by itself, it works in the most imaginative and most creative way ever, with creatures to be fascinated by, a great amount of dedication to make the props and creatures and great dedication to finding the correct actors and voices for the characters, so go pick it up and you’ll be riding in a fantasy.

May the Hype stand down.

3 Film Analysis-how did they help with making my own film in the end?

As observed on this Slideshare presentation is how the 3 film analysis that I done earlier is helping me with creating my own film, and as observed here it is quite a good deal of help, due to the correct selection of films.

And as a plus bonus this slideshow was made on a MAC (hence for it's different style to a PC Powerpoint) and later uploaded to slideshare for viewing on my blog.

May the Hype stand down.

Target Audience

This was in my opinion the most difficult and most complex post to create, but I hope that it can be appealed for the work I did to make this.

As the name implies, Target Audience means the audience the film appeals to meaning that that particular kind of people will be attracted to watching the film, it is of importance to appeal to someone or it may turn into a film only specific to the character and without any appeal to anything else (like the infamous Archie Sonic the Hedgehog Comics), so I though of all the possibilities with my character and film, and here it goes.

Dull background, unappealing characters and designs and plus a close reference to the Nazi gassing Chambers (as implied in the dialogue, how can that appeal to a further target audience aside from Sonic's own?
The age group I decide to appeal to are 8-15 year old, now the reason why I decided this is due to the graphic nature that pops up every now-and-then in my story, which involves blood and general violence, I would have made it more appealing like the Looney Tunes by making the fights funnier and not bloody, but in this case it is like the Mega Man television series due to it's violence and pacing (especially when the characters shoot) and due to the fact that my characters are entirely different in comparison to storyline and humour.

Mega man, considered one of the best
Video-game television series in characterisation
and being the first to look "anime", which was
unique at the time that got people's attention.

The Looney tunes, classical comedy and characters to associate and appeal to and thus is a role model for animators to actually watch and get inspired by.

The gender targeted for the film is 85% males and 15% females, this is due to a lot of action and violence seen in the film and a notable lack of female characters, this could be apologised for to the public should it prove controversial, but it has to be accepted that it was rare for cartoons at the time to have active female characters, and those that have make them wimpy or make them for damsel in distress, and plus even without female characters, females can still approve of the film due to it's style and "cute looking characters" (in mu opinion as to how they say it) while the men would approve of it due to it's storyline and violence (a commonplace for cartoons like Mega Man).

Dr Abraham Manslow
According to the study of Dr. Abraham Maslow, it can be identified that there can be seven different types of people in the world, but let's examine all the types of people that will apply to my film: and first of all there is The Explorer, because as people want to have something new and looking for this cartoon, they finally will get it and watch it, plus it explores the general idea of making a Tiger and a Fox correctly more humanoid and based around Felix the Cat in terms of face, and finally that they will respond to new sensations, indulgence and instant effects which do work for this film, but The Explorer is generally for the audience side of things while is is just almost every-day for the super animals, plus there is no nee sensation indulgence explored by Rombes during the film (although there can be an instant effect).
The Aspirer is a bit more associate with the gears that drive this film due to the fact that Rombes is driven by the perception that Zoltan is evil and the fact that he must defeat him, and that Zoltan is driven by Rombes' perception of good that makes him willing to destroy him, (also the looks of the characters can make the audience associate as to what they are like Rombes looking innocent and Zoltan's front teeth sticking out) and the two make fighting moves that they dodge or get effected by which thus could add more the aspiring audience to watch this film (also status is included due to the status that Rombes is good and Zoltan is evil).
The Succeder is a good thing to talk about as the factor of Rombes's self confidence and goal orientation to survive and defeat evil is appealing to those sorts of people due to the fact that he did those things and succeeded in the end when he put his nemesis Zoltan in prison, also Rombes is a responsible character and role-model to look up to unlike Sonic the Hedgehog (who caused the deterioration of one of his supporting characters into becoming evil and no guilt in being responsible for that matter) and has got a caring side to him and relaxes a bit every now and them (at the right moments of course so it is a placement and appeal for those sort of people).
The Mainstream is a predictable entry due to the fact that due to the fact that Rombes needing to go to the bank for a new credit card is technically a everyday and domestic thing and security of his Clarence Clan and himself is of importance, and plus watching a cartoon or film is a every-day thing for the audience (almost) so it is of no surprise that they would bump into this film and watch it out of curiosity (and the film is family targeted too due to the structure and plot of the film).

The location the film is set in is Windsor due to the fact that it is my home town and people can associate with that location for the increase of tourism and to give a general oovation, so the audience demographics are strictly for the British and not for the Americans due to the fact that this is a British location recognisable only to British eyes and not the Americans (they would only like to see a stereotpe on Britain I bet, and I'm not that sure that America has a Barclays like Britain has).
A set of houses in Windsor to persuade audiences that the location is Windsor
(as told by the housing and building style and recognition of the location).
The photographic backgrounds taken for the film come mainly from "The Village" from the Windsor Great Park", so people living in this area would have a particular interest (and perhaps the people of the village can have a interest to the film and could bring in more tourists to their  if I put my film in cinema circulation, similar to that lake district house from Withnail and I), but aside from whick locations are best to view the film, I would say that it has a wide range of demographics from the rich to the poor due to the fact that neither are fully represented in the film which makes anyone want to watch it without cringing (the movie Adulthood is set in the slums and stereotypes the people there at the same time, so it will attract the audience of the slums)

The Village, a perfect place to work to take Photographs, and make a audience that will be appealing to the locals.

Judge Dredd, may be serious but is good
for a few laughs every now and them as
it is a British series.

The genre of the film I warn the audience is Action-Comedy, this is due to the fact that there is sometimes comedy at some places and there are some violent action sequences at the same time (alas like the modern Teen Titans cartoon which I will no use it's style) , also this is another reason why America won't identify with this due to the fact that it would just be seen as a typical British film with British humour, (a bit like the Judge Dredd comic books by 2000 A.D.) so the genre could be for anyone, but dwindles a bit in America (ironically where most of the inspiration material come from in the first place).

Loonatics unleashed, a shameful contribution
to the Looney tunes and yet provided the
inspuration to give the characters superpowers
and to make them heroes, sorry about that.

The concept of humanoid animals, as well as humanoid animals with super powers is not a unique concept (like the famous Mighty Mouse or the Infamous Loonatics Unleashed), nor is the interaction with human beings that unique too (observe the original Donald Duck television shorts), but the media animals or super powered animals are always camp, humorous or taken too seriously.  What I have got here is a film that is taken with a bit more accuracy to real life due to the characters actually expressing emotion or their opinion of the situation and have a bit of humour every now and then (like a extra violent version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), the use of blood, and the fact that a Tiger or a Fox has never been seen similar to cartoon characters like Felix the Cat before, so it is unique visually too.

The tone of the film is not extremely dark, it is just a action movie that is a silly pleasure to watch ( when drawing the strip I try to make some elements dark and yet it always comes out silly so I am waery of what the audiences will say), but to support the dark claim, Rombes's chest and later Torso will be sliced by Zoltan, but everything else is almost funny or appealing like Judge Dredd or Felix The Cat overall.

But there will be suspense that audiences could stare at due to the protagonist's (Rombes') torso being sliced off at one point and a point where the antagonist (Zoltan) will almost win near the end of the film (makes it bloody and almost like South Park, but in a more toned down way for anyone to keep on watching it).
And there will be the question asked as to what the "Master plan" is before it is revealed by Zoltan after a few moments, thus adding more suspense and curiosity to the audience (like the Sherlock Homes novels that there is a mystery to be solved and the action on screen is suspenseful for audiences to wonder what the master plan could be).

Optimus Prime, voiced by Peter
Cullen and is a good role model
as a action hero and leader,
 thus making him likable.

The likability of the protagonist (Rombes) could be good due to the fact that he does not use his armour blades while fighting Zoltan and the fact that his fight moves are only to stun and defend (and his actions or dialogue are not hype or a ill thing to see or hear just like what Sonic the Hedgehog does).  Also the film starts off with him going to the bank for a new credit card which is a simple innocent thing meaning that he is more human in behaviour than the Superheroes due to doing something that civilians do and having a positive attitude about it (the modern Superheroes from DC comics debate or have so many tragic happenings that they are all the same guy/woman in a different costume), and also the design is likable (and is human sized which is unusual to most cartoon characters) and is easy for people to draw him (especially is they want to draw the face), and he will be voiced in a Optimus Prime/Normal style like voice that I can roughly make out without any teenage style slang so that people can still like him for being more adult and more responsible, so  overall I think that I have got a likable protagonist towards audiences who needs one.
The Yin and Yang symbol, close to
what represents Rombes (Yin) and
Zoltan (Yang), which audiences who
recognise the symool could watch
the film to see it in action.

Any Subject matter that would attract more audience would be the fight between good and evil due to the good Rombes and the evil Zoltan, the Yin and Yang taking place due to the differences between Rombes and Zoltan and their actions towards each other, and spirituality due to the animals that they are are being portrayed in several different places and religions with a bit of unintended accuracy to how they are seen (like Zoltan the cunning fox in most countries and Rombes the king of the animals according to China), meaning that I could easily attract audience with this kind of value.

Any extra elements would be the music that audiences could be attracted by due to it's sharp tone and adding suspense to the scene where it takes place, it is only simple piano music instead of the orchestral track of the G1 Transformers cartoon which could make people wonder "why is there only one instrument?" but it makes up for the fact that it does what it is suppose to do and helping the audience get attracted and watch the film further, also the extra element would be the myths that associate with the animals used in the film, which  is seen that the Tiger is the king of the animals in China (Wang) which is fitting for Rombes due to him being the leader of the Clarence Clan, and Zoltan being the cunning fox that he is due to his sneaky unpredictable actions within the film so the people who associate themselves to those myths can love the film)

Rodimus Prime V.s. Galvatron
(From the original Marvel
Transformers Comic) a good
example of Good V.s. Evil, which the
audience could Identify with in my own
film.

Special interests that would keep the audiences interested with the film would be the fight between Rombes and Zoltan at the second-half of the film due to the fact that it really a fight against good and evil due to their actions towards each other (this is relevant to most other cartoons, like Rodimus Prime v.s, Galvatron in the Transformers, The fight between Simba and Scar in The Lion King, and ETC) and their dialogue which adds suspense to their hatred towards each other, and that Rombes began his day normally when it is got ruined by Zoltan's intent to create the master plan of slaughtering his Clarence Clan (which is being built up for audiences to wonder till Zoltan arrogantly spurted it out near the end) this is a normal feature found in other television episodes or movies (Mega Man and the Alex Rider novels) to find that the villain has got a master plan which is normal which could mean that people can easily associate themselves with the film.

Rombes the Tiger, on the flight to save the day similar
to the source material and the superheroes of the Golden
Age of Comic Books, so people will consider him a classic.

The Source material is based on the black-and-white cartoon trips I personally draw myself (which in turn use to be based on Calvin and Hobbes but got it's on development and story in time), and despite the use of colour (Due to fear that the test audience could not accept black and white), actual backgrounds ( the backgrounds in my strip are blank but informed as to where the characters are )and Zoltan using armour similar to Rombes' own (originally he had a stability cannon), the 2-D and story telling style of the cartoon strips is still maintained, but overall the film is not based on real life or a real life event (would you really expect a human to fly?) and is just a cartoon based on most of the other cartoons I see (mostly the Transformers and the Looney Tunes and Disney cartoons), so the audience can fear for no allusion there, just that they are watching something they feel as original and a better sight to look at than 3-D.

As for what the characters are based on, Rombes is based on Hobbes from Calvin and Hobbes from the early years of the Strip, but has developed a unique personality and becoming a noble superhero over time (but still maintains Hobbes' nobility), which gives the idea that the character may be philosophical and humorous at the same time, plus he is developed as the opposite of Sonic the Hedgehog in terms of personality and style due to not willing to make the same mistakes Sonic the Hedgehog did (and don't worry about the mouths, it will stay on one place).
Zoltan is developed from The Master from Doctor Who, but has became more closer to Megatron from the original Transformers  cartoon and as a shocker Zoltan in Hungarian name terms means "Life" , which makes a character audiences fear and understand (his will not be adressed in the film and Zoltan will not have a Hungarian accent).
Finally believe it or not, but The Banker is based from Han Solo's animated appearance from The Star Wars Holiday Special due to the seemingly dull acting and performance (which I simply do by just making a monotone without any effort at all), which the audience can associate with a stereotypical banker.

So in conclusion, I have got a lot up my sleeve to provide that my film has got a wide range of audience and with many and merry hopes that they can all love and appeal of this film, as much as you would do.

May the Hype stand down.

And take a break for your eyes, if you still have them.

DREADline

First in this post, I will mention that yesterday from the date of this post, I saw the Batman and Robin film of 1997, I will not do the same thing with "The Next Best Thing" but this is even worse, showing an example of poor directing, poor acting, overuse of special effects and  poor script.

All that I have learned not to do on my own film so that it can be a success, but the deadline has been announced, meaning that I will have to make me film by 31 October 2011, sort of like a real film industry where there really is a deadline, so I will dare and try to be ahead of production schedule.

Apologies + Information notes.

Dear Examiners reading this

On this day I was suppose to hand in the film, but due to complications in preparation and several setbacks, the movie is going to be handed in at a date before or during 31/10/2011, I apologies for any inconvenience.
But at least I promise the delay won't be as bad as the Metrazort film.

But anyway, a note that I should give out is that my film will function more as a Television episode that introduces some of the key characters and concepts, and will not be surreal or silent or chiche' like a normal short film it.

Also despite having a minor clip of the narrator, everything else it going to be animated in a mixture of South Park animation (due to being created with paper) and Postman pat animation (due to the mouth and the movement), I hope this has informed you perfectly as to what I intent.

Putty for extra security, and to help produce scenes quicker.

Also one final not is that I will dub the style I will be using "Supershortcutation" (after what Gerry Anderson calls his projects), this is due that the character's joints are secures with putty while animating, and taking advantage of that security some scenes will have the character being pulled by string and not animated to save time, hence the "SuperSHORTCUTation" title.

May the hype stand down.

3 film Analysis 3.The Joy of Destruction.

Introduction

The film on analysis now is “the joy of Destruction", a film created in Germany in 2010 by Xaver Xylophon & Laura Junger, it is a mixture of Stop motion and Real motion like my own film, but unlike my own or like "Fallen art" or "Le' Cafe", this one does not have a plot, but is fun to watch, as the creators intended.

Can it convert to a movie?
The answer is no due to the fact that the film has got no official plot and is just random clips of destruction or destroying, if you put in more clips to make a feature length then you will get bored of the film, if you extend each clip so that the movie runs like a feature length film, then the clips won't be that funny any more, and there may be too much criticism from the public that there is no plot or the movie is too long, so overall it is better to keep the film the length it is.

Like with "Fallen art" and "Le' Cafe", I found it at the futureshorts channel on youtube, and was created 2010 (full date unknown).

The description of the video is that it's "A film about the human drive to destroy and the absurd entertaining value that's attached to it." so in other words it shows "The Joy of destruction" like what the title says and is easy to laugh at the clips that show destruction or wreckage or ruin, but it does showcase all the beautiful things that are there and our tendency to destroy them (E.g. chopping the head of a fish, knocking down bowling pins and building buildings on a peaceful island, it is meant to be sad that we are destroying those things, but it's presentation is fun)

The source of the budget of this film is unknown, but it seems relatively more expensive than "Le' Cafe" and "Fallen Art" due to the need to buy props, paper and more paper to animate certain things, I personally believe that the creators of this movie have saved plenty of money for the production of this film.

Genre
It may sound like a film fun to watch from both the German side and the foreign side, even from any social background due to it’s variety-in-live-action style, but there are some scenes too gruesome for the young audience to watch due to the scene of a fish's head chopped off and even a burning lady and acts of violence and death, so it is recommended to anyone APART from the age group 0-7, and I can't do what social background this film can be recommended to due to the gamble that some clips work out and some don't.

The genre of the film is Comedy and Action due to things that are happening on-screen (action) in a way that is humorous (comedy).

The storyline is that... there is no story, it is only clips of things getting destroyed and with a card house to symbolise the level of destruction (as it gets worse), but it is attached roughly by a song in German that help us connect these scenes together.

Despite the lack of plot, the film resolution is that all the beauty in the world will be destroyed by us or other forces if we do not do something about it.

Film Language
the film language sung throughout the film is German, but despite not being able to follow the language I am able to fully understand the film by it’s images and movements (just like what happens when I read a Dutch comic book), but even with a language some people could not understand the song is required to make the video fun and laughable to watch.

It has got the representation of the things that is lovely and beautifully arranged that is destroyed by us in the process and us (the audience) being sad about it, but to add to symbolism of the film is that a card castle is being build every level and then one level up to represent the level of destruction we see here.

The encoded message is only just about "the joy of destruction", that despite its fun it gives us the message as what we are doing as human beings.

The Camera is shot all the time at Wide-shots or medium shots so that the audience can see clearly what the object is that is being destroyed.

The Sound is a non-diegetic German song that matches with the lyrics of the film (however there are diegetic sounds on occasions to maintain attention).
The editing is simple camera cuts as it is from one destruction to the other, and the mise-en-scene can be described as surreal with the dependence on what is on-screen (towns, WW2 gas masks, etc).

A basic challenge of the film is copyright, due to a clip where Godzilla is destroying Tokyo, but the even bigger challenge is ironically those who are watching it, because some people may like it but some people may not, due to scenes like chopping the head off a fish and building on a small peaceful island, the companies that actually do these things may not like it due to the people or consumers getting the message of what they do, also it challenges the sensitive audience due to a scene near the end where a terrorist bomber blowing up a city (aka 9/11).

Conclusion
So in other words, it is a gruesome film that is not meant to be for younger people, as well as giving us the message of the beautiful things we destroy (from the arrangement of things the destroy them to just destroying things) but the presentation of this film makes it a pleasure and not-a-waste-of-time-to-watch, if fact it is the fun of the film that help us remember it and to allow us to think back to it and think about what we are doing and destroying.

3 film Analysis 2.Le' Cafe.

Introduction
This film may not be as famous as “fallen art” due to not being featured on wikipedia, but here is “le’ café”, a film created by Stephanie Marguerite and Emille Tarascow with music by by Oldelaf and Mr D (forgive my French, I could not speak it).

As with all short films, it’s concepts and jokes are all in it’s own universe so it is not possible for conversion to feature length at a cinema, but it is possible to extend the amount of minuets within the film (about 15-30) by keeping with the plot but making it live action and removal of the narrative song and letting the characters actually speak, it can work if guided correctly (and not in a stupid money making way).

Like with fallen art, I found it at the futureshorts channel on youtube as well as it’s real website, however a version with English subtitles exist on the youtube channel kidnex1.

Was officially created in 2007 while the subtitle version was posted in 2009.

On the same day when I showed fallen art to my mother (a sufficient test person) I showed le’ Café to her and mentions the fact that the man is ruining his own life with his addiction and double murders until his own grotesque fate in the end, my opinion is the dangers of being a caffeine addict that makes you drink more and more till the consequences.

Like fallen art, the source of the budget is unknown, but due to what appears to be the use of flash it appears to be less expensive.

Genre
For those that speak French and for those opting to watch the subtitles, the target audience range is 14-20 due to it’s scenes of violence, general storyline and a instance of a swear, but for those that are watching the film without the understanding of French the range is 10-20 because it is unsuitable for children due to the complexity on what is happening, so it is perfectly suitable for that range due to the understanding of the language,  In terms of genre, the film is a comedy due to the scenes that suggest humour.

The genre of the film is light humour but violence due to the innocent nature of the storyline and yet also moments of adult violence and a swear, also is a bit of horror due to what happens to the main character in the end (becoming over bloated then (bursting or turning into coffee)).

The storyline is that with every drinking of a cup of coffee, it lead the man to a serious addiction that leads to him killing two innocent people and locking himself in his own room and still drinking coffee for a long time (must be a big supply in that room?) until he becomes over bloated and burst (or dissolves into coffee matter).

The resolution in the end is what happens if you become over addicted to something= you destroy your own life and yourself in the end.

Film language
The film language is of course French, but despite not being able to follow the language I am able to get the plot of the film by it’s images and movements (just like what happens when I read a Dutch comic book), and I am able to understand what the man is getting through due to the tone of the voice being calm at the beginning to being grizzly and strained at the end.

It has got the representation of the process of addiction that first those people give him so many cups that he decided to have so many cups himself that it leads him to murder people due top his addiction, kick his own son off to process with his addiction and then trapping himself in his own room to avoid the police and carry on with his addition until his fate, so it shows that the film presents it’s message by the passage of time and showing the progression of the helpless character.

The camera shots are mostly full shots or medium shots for the audience to maintain attention to the character and see his every movement as time goes with his addiction.
The Sound is only music, but there is no lip-syncing over the lyrics and tunes therefore it is non-diagetic (however there are moments where the characters speak out a part of the song to relate to the story), but it does however match with the actions-on screen to keep the viewers attention.
The Mise-en-scene is present dar France as evidented by the clothing of the people and the locations seen in the film that stereotype france (and to cheat I also saw the map of the film which showed the location the person is going to).
The editing maintains its 180 degree rule due to the flatness of flash, and there are camera cuts and a few long takes to maintain interest.

The encoded message is addiction, as well as the dangers of over drinking coffee (in scientific fact drinking 8 cups of coffee a day means a addiction and a over beating heart per second until you easily get a heart attack).

People love something to a addiction of it (like coffee like in the film or drugs), so the film challenges it’s status quo due to either offending the people that have got an addiction or making them feel frightened of their addiction after watching the film.

Conclusion
In conclusion the film is a fun film to watch that it shows the development of the character becoming addicted to coffee and leading to ruining his own life with his addiction until the consequences of the addiction in the end, but the film is also an educational film due to teaching us of addiction and what leads up to one, and a warning message to those who are addicted that “this is what you get if are too addicted to something”, but overall it’s light and fun.

3 film Analysis 1.Fallen art.

Introduction
The short film on analysis is a macabre film called “Fallen Art” (originally called “Sztuka spadania”), directed and written by Tomasz Baginski.

If I would try to associate it with a genre of a feature film, then the answer is no, because it is a showcase of the macabre side of the military and is only there to showcase the joke, so no suitable genre there (if you tried, then you may end up with similar results to the Tom and Jerry movie).

I first found the short at you tube via the channel futureshorts, however it does have it’s own website so I suspect you can find the film there too, and I found it’s reviews at IMDB (with a score of 7.9/10.

While created in 2004, it was awarded the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award in 2006, quite a good short film I must say.

I showed this film to mum, she was shocked and she told me what she thinks of why it was made, I did not suspect this but it seems that is was created to reflect on the fact that the military use soldiers in a terrible way, not to mention create a waste of them, and not to mention reflecting on the macabre side of the army.

As for how it was funded, there is limited information to tell so.

Genre

For the range, it is best recommended for the older 12-24 range, due to the fact that the film involves killing and a reckless use of soldiers (being killed for a man’s hobby), and is no recommended for anyone in the military due to the offence this film may produce.

Narrative

The genre of the film is dark humour due to the overall joke of the film, macabre because of its content, humour due to the joke again and partly action due to the scene of the soldier falling and the nature of the joke overall.

The storyline is a fat military leader using the photographs of dead soldiers that have fallen from the sky to create a musical stop motion film he dances to.

Linear may mean the ability to create a shape in your mind, and I think it works for this case due to shaping like a circle, because the madness of that person’s hobby seems to carry on and on with more and more dead soldiers.

The equilibrium of the film is equal for terms of its dark settings ands storyline, as well as the full ability to follow what is happening when the general joke occurs.

As for the resolution, well as for the ending of the film, it suggests that it is a never-ending progress of what is happening, it just would seem to keep on happening until the soldiers would logically run out.

Film language
If you are familiar with the Adults from Peanuts, then you should know that all the characters speak in grunts or pretend words (blah blah blah), this clearly indicates to the audience that they are talking, for the film is depended on what the characters do visually.

Another example of the visual dependence of the film is the fact that when being introduced to the guy that’s doing the dark hobby, we first cut to a picture of his youth then the camera moves to the left and we see a bit more about his past and even the clarinet that he was playing in the pictures and finally to him and the rest we see what he really does, this shows that he loves music from the very start and continues it in a dark way when older.

An interesting contribution to the language is within the camera work itself, as there are wide shots, medium shots and close-ups, all shots are there for the viewer to explore the character and their personalities and what makes them the character we see.
The sound mainly heard in the film is an atmos-effect with the wind blowing to reflect on the darkness of the situation and the music to reflect on how sadistic this “operation” is, all sounds are diegetic to maintain the reality and the message behind the film.
The Editing seems to be at the 180 degree rule with temporal ellipsis to maintain reality and to keep the place realistic for the viewers to view.
Mise-en-Scene is a military location, with an era seemingly to be from WW2 due to the nature of the costumes and devices used, and no pop-culture is used, just that location and costumes to keep the message going.

Representation and ideology
It has got a representation for the insanity behind the hobby of the individual due to what he is doing to all the soldiers; just for that hobby, and it represents the macabre and dark side of the military due to using all these soldiers for one single objective (compare it to the real life situation, and you’ll find it’s true).

The encoded message is the way the soldiers are used in the military as well as the insanity of the commanders, it’s true value lies behind the joke and message this short is playing on.

The film challenges the quo of the military as well as the people with hobbies due to the partial of them being dark and insane which would technically offend them if watching the film, so the writer must be very brave to understand that fact but carry on with it.

Conclusion
Overall, it may sound like what I pointed out again, but it is a short film that reflects on the dark and macabre side of the army as they waste the soldier’s lived for a particular objective, and it technically is a short film that you have to keep on watching and remembering key scenes until you get the overall joke of the film.

Movie Screw-ups (not the real film review).

Well the Metrazort movie may come a little later than expected, but this is a movie I will say you wish no later to forget about it, this is Madonna's "The Next Best Thing" from the year 2000.

The film poster of a movie that
flopped at box-office.
Now I may not be a fan of music videos due to the arrogance behind them and the inability to follow them makes them worst (hence one of the reasons why I don't want to do one), but I do give Madonna credit because she is a bit more human and she does explain a bit about herself in each of the music videos she produced, but being in a movie is an awful piece of pottery as she won a Razzie award for her performance in one of the worst movies ever seen: The Next Best Thing.

A movie review may be not done in this blog, but it does give importance for later.

Now I've only seen one part of the movie (like a third) with my mother and a friend from Holland, but none the less while it is suppose to make you laugh due to several jokes in it I did not laugh at all due to the humor being singing at a funeral, breaking pottery and realising they have sex in the end.

If you think the jokes are too much, then the Camera is suffering too, for there are so many shots and camera angles that are done so precisely that it makes the movie feel unnatural and uncomfortable (take the establishing shot of the Yoga room in the scene where one of the characters is explaining to Madonna his decision of becoming a father, the objects of the room and the position of the camera is done in such a way that you think it is rather a cliche moment rather than a real serious one).

Now during the scenes where it was shown her pregnancy was developing, I felt a bit disgusted and sick at the sight of it, so I went to a laptop in the television room to look for the reviews of this movie, I expected it to be average because I see the movie as bad but not harmful.
And I saw it, the IMdb rating of the movie was a 4.4/10, and Wikipedia said that this movie was a critical and commercial failure, so knowing this I left the Television room while my Mother and friend carried on watching (but I bet with less comfort due to talking about the ratings to them).

After the movie was done, I asked mum on what I escaped from, and she was not even happy with the movie at all (calling it much worse than Eat, Pray and Love), and she gave me the rest of the movies' plot and this is what me and my mum summed up for the overall plot of the movie, and it's awful...

First her boyfriend breaks up with her...
Then she accidentally had sex with her homosexual friend...
She asks the homosexual to be a responsible father of the child which he agreed...
The child is born...
Not happy with the homosexual so she meets up with another person...
Finds out the boy came from the first boyfriend rather than the homosexual...
Wants to move away with her new boyfriend, but the homosexual is displeased...
A court case with three teams over the ownership of the boy, one with her and the new boyfriend, one with the homosexual and one with her split up boyfriend...
She and the boyfriend won, the split boyfriend goes off and the homosexual is sad that his unity with her and the boy ends...
Madonna ruined his life and is a selfish female dog in the film overall...
The end...

Well if you did not figure the entire story out, then it's a sign that you know the movie is terrible, it is full of cliches, full of vomit-over camera shots, full of unfunny jokes, full of awful acting, full of awful casting, full of awful writing, full of bad directing, full of Madonna, full of what goes wrong when featuring a movie with a celebrity, full of nonsense, full of ridiculousness, full of cruelty, full of selfishness, full of stupidity, full of unreal ism and full of everything of how to make a film in the media industry awful (both conglomerates and independents).

The family shown in the film (with the homosexual).

Now it is important to reference my own project at this point, the lesson taken from this pee-in-a-toilet is that everything needs to be though out correctly as this movie's script was a mess, everything needs to be analysed as someone should have red-lighted the script but failed to do so, and the situation needs to be though out carefully as the film's own is what I call disgusting, and also is to better think of the script and not the ability to make money as the film is a demonstration of that.

So the lesson is that thinking caps and deep thinking and cars makes a film great, better and good, so it's better to work hard to avoid being like this awful sack and show something better than Sonic.

Photoshop in action for the very first time.

Photoshop is a complex program that is the next level up after Microsoft paint that enables you to modify your photos if you scan them in or digitally insert them, then you can do the modifications needed to make the photograph an un-natural and un-truful representation of the surroundings you have been in.

Anyway, as a "fun contest" of one of the bosses, he gave me the words and picture and I camer up with this.

The entite contest is about making a music CD, and what I came up with is Music-style letters to show it is music and to gain attention, yellow to give it sort of a holy aspect, and red with black spots representing blood and bullet holes so "when it breaks down" is the perfect match for this senerio which could have made people buy it as a result of curiosity of what may be in the CD (I never be in the military in any way anyway).

In other news, due to not putting up the full Metrazort film last time, I will put up the full video up this blog so that everthing is fair-play, and the Metrazort film is based on a Rombes enemy anyway.

May the Hype stand down.

What is the best basis for the animation?

If there had been information earlier, then you should know that I will animate my film similar to the earlier Metrazort film, only it's going to be paper cutouts as how we think South Park is.

But did you know that I will be more precise and have more human movements despite a 1/4 body perspective? that means that my film will be quite comparable to other subjects, especially two which have been crafted by the BBC.

First is Mr Benn, it's a 1970 show about a guy who goes in a costume shop, puts a costume on and enters a magical world depending on what the costume he is wearing (e.g. if he dresses up as a prison convict then he will be magic have an adventure in prison).
The animation is more limited then you can think, but it's close to what I intent due to the individual joints of the characters and the music involved.

Next is a very obscure one called "Rosie and Ruff in Puppydog tales" a show developed in 1992 (and perhaps the last of an innocent era before Sonic corrupted everything) that is all about dogs that walk on two legs.
That is true believe it or not, and it is simply about a black dog called Rosie teaching how to do things better in society so that Ruff can do things properly (the perfect opposite of Sonic I must say).
And as a result, my own film will be about animals on two feet and also being about how I can prove to make a film better than the hype that's going on today in this modern day of animation.

Film duration

The maximum duration of a short film is 6:30 minutes, meaning that despite feeling much better to make a film about Rombes v.s Zoltan, I need to change the storyline of the film in order to fit the duration, but as it is going to be a v.s film, some fight moves can be sped up, or edited off meaning that I have got a film with a flexible format.

May the Hype stand down

P.s. if you are wondering of the template design, it is coloured after the current design of Rombes, similar to what you seen already but with a different design of battle armour.

All of noise to noise.

Some people know I hate Sonic the Hedgehog.
Some people know I get annoyed by the Cadbury Bunny.
But everyone knows that I hate classroom noise.

Yes, always on Period 4 on a Wednesday, there is a constant amount of noise from terrible none-working people, they only watch on YouTube and make noise, while I am trying to think about the storyline of my film.

Yes, I tried to think of the story for my film on that day, but there was so much noise on that day (especially from the worst) that I simply left the lesson and went to the achievement centre of the school to draw some strips to recover from it all, but as I am making a film adaptation of Rombes from my cartoon strip that I drew, it was technically alright to do it, for not only can I keep a mindset on him, I also developed him a bit so that he is a sharper character for my film.

But it is nearly awful at Period 4 on a Wednesday, and those people better get some sense soon or they'll be kicked out.

Mid Change-Again

Now once again, I changed my mind on what I want to work on - Rombes.

I know the evil power of Sonic the Hedgehog, and now I changed my mind because I need to present Rombes as the better link to look at.

But both REUBEN and ROMBES now both seem like good ideas at the same time, so which one can I select for my goal of the short film:t get people out of the misery of the Hype age Sonic has caused.

Well, I'll see which can be stronger

May the Hype stand down.

Sad news + A better idea for my upcomming film.

Well, the idea for a Rombes animated film may have sounded great, but this is the truth on why I did so in the first place.

I did it because of my hatred of Sonic the Hedgehog, not only did he scare me as a child, he also destroyed what could have been a new Golden age of animation (started in 1988) and caused the ruination of great classical characters and fiction (does he even look like a hedgehog anyway? he is this dyed blue creature that is the symbol of envy and greed).

So then I looked at another character, Salem, he is a warlock who was sentenced to be a cat for a unknown time, and the character was quite good UNTIL it was revealed he LIKED sonic the hedgehog as he collected all the comics from a series that will blind your eyes.

Sorry Rombes, but cancelling the film is for the better.
(the picture is not the animation technique to be used)

And that got me mad, really mad, so I took the idea of an animation of Rombes v.s. Zoltan, but then I took a deep analysis of my idea, and found that making them speak is too complicated and makes the film longer, and it would be too complicated to animate the mouths and the movements at the came time, it may sound lazy but it's better than having a film criticised for being boring and having chunky animation.

So it is better not to work on it, for I have developed a new fresher idea that I feel better working with in my heart, it will still have Rombes, but he will not have the main role as he may have a cameo or a "the end" appearance.
Myself in this room thinking of a new better idea.

The film will be about a female black cat called Reuben, a sword wielder that goes into a Dragon's cave to find a gemstone for her master's (technically the king's) birthday.

It is better to work on REUBEN because the character is mute apart from a few grunts and humorous screams, and the fact that not only am I presenting a better idea than Sonic, but also a better female character that is not too serious (the modern day Wonder Woman) and not too feminist (princess Zelda)).

So for a teacher reading this blog message, I need another "short film idea" sheet for describing all of this, hope you won't mind but my mind is getting clear to a more comfortable idea.

Just a nice picture that represents the upcoming tone of
my short film.

May the Hype stand down.
