Movie Screw-ups (not the real film review).

Well the Metrazort movie may come a little later than expected, but this is a movie I will say you wish no later to forget about it, this is Madonna's "The Next Best Thing" from the year 2000.

The film poster of a movie that
flopped at box-office.
Now I may not be a fan of music videos due to the arrogance behind them and the inability to follow them makes them worst (hence one of the reasons why I don't want to do one), but I do give Madonna credit because she is a bit more human and she does explain a bit about herself in each of the music videos she produced, but being in a movie is an awful piece of pottery as she won a Razzie award for her performance in one of the worst movies ever seen: The Next Best Thing.

A movie review may be not done in this blog, but it does give importance for later.

Now I've only seen one part of the movie (like a third) with my mother and a friend from Holland, but none the less while it is suppose to make you laugh due to several jokes in it I did not laugh at all due to the humor being singing at a funeral, breaking pottery and realising they have sex in the end.

If you think the jokes are too much, then the Camera is suffering too, for there are so many shots and camera angles that are done so precisely that it makes the movie feel unnatural and uncomfortable (take the establishing shot of the Yoga room in the scene where one of the characters is explaining to Madonna his decision of becoming a father, the objects of the room and the position of the camera is done in such a way that you think it is rather a cliche moment rather than a real serious one).

Now during the scenes where it was shown her pregnancy was developing, I felt a bit disgusted and sick at the sight of it, so I went to a laptop in the television room to look for the reviews of this movie, I expected it to be average because I see the movie as bad but not harmful.
And I saw it, the IMdb rating of the movie was a 4.4/10, and Wikipedia said that this movie was a critical and commercial failure, so knowing this I left the Television room while my Mother and friend carried on watching (but I bet with less comfort due to talking about the ratings to them).

After the movie was done, I asked mum on what I escaped from, and she was not even happy with the movie at all (calling it much worse than Eat, Pray and Love), and she gave me the rest of the movies' plot and this is what me and my mum summed up for the overall plot of the movie, and it's awful...

First her boyfriend breaks up with her...
Then she accidentally had sex with her homosexual friend...
She asks the homosexual to be a responsible father of the child which he agreed...
The child is born...
Not happy with the homosexual so she meets up with another person...
Finds out the boy came from the first boyfriend rather than the homosexual...
Wants to move away with her new boyfriend, but the homosexual is displeased...
A court case with three teams over the ownership of the boy, one with her and the new boyfriend, one with the homosexual and one with her split up boyfriend...
She and the boyfriend won, the split boyfriend goes off and the homosexual is sad that his unity with her and the boy ends...
Madonna ruined his life and is a selfish female dog in the film overall...
The end...

Well if you did not figure the entire story out, then it's a sign that you know the movie is terrible, it is full of cliches, full of vomit-over camera shots, full of unfunny jokes, full of awful acting, full of awful casting, full of awful writing, full of bad directing, full of Madonna, full of what goes wrong when featuring a movie with a celebrity, full of nonsense, full of ridiculousness, full of cruelty, full of selfishness, full of stupidity, full of unreal ism and full of everything of how to make a film in the media industry awful (both conglomerates and independents).

The family shown in the film (with the homosexual).

Now it is important to reference my own project at this point, the lesson taken from this pee-in-a-toilet is that everything needs to be though out correctly as this movie's script was a mess, everything needs to be analysed as someone should have red-lighted the script but failed to do so, and the situation needs to be though out carefully as the film's own is what I call disgusting, and also is to better think of the script and not the ability to make money as the film is a demonstration of that.

So the lesson is that thinking caps and deep thinking and cars makes a film great, better and good, so it's better to work hard to avoid being like this awful sack and show something better than Sonic.

May the Hype stand down.
